We have lent our unique expertise to animated series, children’s television shows, ad campaigns and even game shows in areas ranging from script-writing, concept development, to character and background designs, storyboards and illustrations. But our core philosophy towards our work has always remained the same – to tell a good story.
Our passion for story telling and sense of humour is part of the package that makes our art pieces intriguing and very often the conversation starter. “Midnight at Bodleian” is our most recent art work commissioned by The Bodleian, a whisky lounge in Phnom Penh. Here’s what I’m thinking: What happens when 10 famous movers and shakers of the world in the last two centuries get together for a good time in the VIP room of the lounge?
What happens when you are the type of person who looks at the world quite differently from everybody else, then obsessively puts these intepretations down as sketches on whatever scraps of paper you can find until you have boxes of drawings stashed away in drawers, cabinets and cupboards? But these unused offsprings of the restless imagination will keep knocking, wanting to be let out, because they belong on the streets, in houses, in conversations between strangers and fiends. They belong in people’s lives.
